16 July 2004 Mirago Partners With New Online Shopping Portal CompleteShopper.com Mirago, a provider of search engine results, has today announced it has partnered with new online shopping portal CompleteShopper.com. Mirago will be categorising and providing the results from the site´s search facility as well as regularly updating icons (logos) that appear next to each listing. CompleteShopper is a new online shopping concept. Unlike existing portals that rely on users visiting them, this portal sits on the desktop as a permanent fixture giving greater exposure for merchants. CompleteShopper allows users to create their own high street by choosing links for their top ten high street brands with logos automatically appearing at the bottom of the screen each time an individual switches on their computer. The list can be revised whenever necessary and there is an option to receive regular updates on special offers or information provided from your personalised “online high street”. Adam Harris, managing director at CompleteShopper, said: “The regional search feature from Mirago was a huge advantage for us as it allows our customers as users to search for products or services in their nearest town or county. Additionally retail partners can target specific areas which allows them to ensure messages only reach their selected audience.” “Choosing the right partner for this project was essential for our success. Mirago operates in a very professional and efficient manner which best suited our needs.” The portal runs solely on Windows XP and Windows 2000 that integrates general personal information about each user with Windows XP/2000. Combined with the individual “online high street,” general categories, and the regional feature of Mirago´s search facility, merchants are able to target users that have shown an interest in its particular product or service previously as well as within certain areas. Unlike more subtle advertising methods the site provides this information in an unobtrusive manner as the user can select the messages they want to read and delete those that don´t. Leigh Tomlinson, business development manager at Mirago, commented: “We are delighted to add CompleteShopper to our extensive partner portfolio network.” |
