Thursday, October 01, 2009 Mirago announces full PCI-DSS compliance Alton, 1st October 2009 - Mirago announced today that it has achieved Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliance. PCI-DSS is the security requirement for organisations that store, process or transmit cardholder details and is now the recognised industry standard.

The core elements of PCI DSS are as follows:
  • Build and maintain a secure network
  • Protect Cardholder Data
  • Maintain a Vulnerability Management Programme
  • Implement Strong Access Control Measures
  • Regularly Monitor and Test Networks
  • Maintain an Information Security Policy

PCI-DSS compliancy means that customers performing transactions on the Mirago platform are assured that the storage of their credit card details complies with the strict security standards outlined by payment card issuers. Partners who adopt Mirago's hosted white label platform are therefore exempt from requiring their own Data Centre PCI-DSS accreditation.
